Hi! I'm Gordon! |
It's time for another installment of Rescue Pet Wednesday, a feature which I created to spotlight adoptable rescue pets from around the country and raise awareness about the ways that people can help rescue animals. If you want to learn more about what you can do to make a difference here's an article about 10 ways you can help your local rescue.
The adorable little boy in the picture above is Gordon, a male Shih Tzu Mix. He's one year old and weighs about 10 pounds. Gordon loves car rides, walks, and chasing his favorite ball. He's also house-trained, neutered, vaccinated, and chipped. Gordon would love to find a home with his best friend Gabby if at all possible. He's currently staying with the BFF Rescue in Arvada, Colorado.
If you are interested in adopting Gordon (and Gabby) you can send an email. You can also find out more about the BFF Rescue at their website.
Hello... I'm Jackson! |
This little cutie is Jackson, a male Ragdoll/Balinese Mix kitten. Jackson was found in a kill shelter when he was too young to even feed himself! He weighed less than a pound and was frightened and hissed. Now he's growing like a weed and loves to cuddle and get lots of attention. Jackson was diagnosed with feline leukemia so he will need to be adopted as an only cat or with other positive cats only. He's house-trained, vaccinated, and neutered. Jackson is currently staying at the Forget-Me-Not Animal Rescue in Pleasant View, Tennessee.
If you're interested in adopting this sweet little special needs kitten you can send an email or contact them from their website. You can also donate to the Forget-Me-Not Animal Rescue as a GIFT through Paypal in an email or by mail to PO Box 722 Pleasant View TN 37146.
Meet Rivers! |
This is Rivers, an adult male Standardbred horse. He's a gelding and is very beginner friendly. Rivers is easy to lead and groom and he's very sweet and responsive when being ridden. He's currently being cared for by the Standardbred Retirement Foundation in Millstone, New Jersey.
If you are interested in adopting Rivers you can send an email or call at 732-446-4422. You can learn more about the Standardbred Retirement Foundation's mission to rehabilitate retired race horses or donate to their cause on their website.
If you want to find a rescue pet in your own area Petfinder is a great resource. Thanks for reading! See you again next week!
